Jest miejskim carillonistą w Zutphen, Lochem, Groenlo, Winterswijk i Nijmegen (Holandia). Studiował carillon w Niderlandzkiej Szkole Carillonowej w Amersfoort i w konserwatorium w Douai. W latach 1982-1994 był prezydentem Holenderskiej Gildii Carillonowej, organizując w 1990 roku VIII Międzynarodowy Kongres Carillonowy w Zutphen. Grał recitale carillonowe w Europie, Japonii i Stanach Zjednoczonych, tworząc wiele nagrań telewizyjnych, radiowych

i płytowych. Poza grą na carillonie Gert jest znanym w Holandii organistą. Pracuje jako organista w Grote Kerk w Aalten. Studiował organy i muzykę kościelną w konserwatorium w Utrechcie. Przez ostatnie 20 lat był nauczycielem w konserwatorium w Arnhem. Obecnie jest konsultantem carillonowym w Gdańsku oraz Stuttgarcie i Monachium. Od 2000 roku jest oficjalnym konsultantem do spraw dzwonow dla kościołow rzymskokatolickich w Holandii. Od 2007 roku Gert Oldenbeuving uczy carillonu w gdańskiej Akademii Muzycznej. Za swoje zasługi dla polskiej kultury carillonowej otrzymał w 2001 Medal Św. Wojciecha oraz Złoty Krzyż Zasługi. (źrodło: http://kultura.wp.pl/)

GERT OLDENBEUVING (Coevorden,1946) is citycarillonneur in Zutphen, Lochem. Weekly he is playing the carillons in this cities. He studied in Amersfoort at the Dutch Carillon School with Peter Bakker.

Gert Oldenbeuving was president of the Dutch Carillon Guild from 1982 till 1994. In Zutphen he was the host of the 8th International World Carillon Congress in 1990 and in 2008 he was artistic director of the Internationa World carillon Congress in Gdansk, Poland.

Gert Oldenbeuving played carillonrecitals in Europe, Japan and U.S.A. Several radio, TV and CD-recordings are made of his carillonplaying.

Besides carillonplaying Gert Oldenbeuving is a wellknown organist in Holland. He is appointed organist in the 'Grote Kerk' in Aalten. He studied organ and churchmusic at the Conservatorium in Utrecht. At this moment Gert Oldenbeuving is carillonconsultant of the city of Gdansk and teaching carillon at the Music Academy Gdansk. In 2005 he received the "Adelbrecht Medall", a culture award of the city of Gdansk and in 2008 "The Golden Cross for Culture" from the Polish Gouvernement. Since 2000 Gert Oldenbeuving is the official bellconsultant for the Roman Catholic Church in the Netherlands and consultant for carillons in Gdansk, Dallas, Stuttgart, Melle and Munchen.

In April 2011 he became "Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau", an official award from Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands.
