Sometimes everyone needs to chill and go with some weird flow. To allow yourself to act freely, impulsively. And to connect with this need and follow it with us.

We offer you a meeting with your body, voice, emotions as well as physical space and a partner. It will happen wih using the technique called free improv. The basis of individual work is the relaxation of mental blocks through physical and vocal action. Later we deal with the expansion of expressive possibilities, i.e. the identification of our own manners and movement and thought patterns, and with negating them.

A significant part of the workshop will be devoted to physical and vocal training known also as working on tools. Free improv workshop is a non-theatrical workshop (formally, however, we meet in 2022 as the Free Theater).

❗️ Intense free improv workshops are intended for you if:

• you'd like to use your voice and body to the fullest

• you want to open up to interactions with the environment

• you want to learn to use your emotions

• you'd love to overcome your shyness

• working with other creative people for you is fun

The workshops are intended for people over 16 years of age.

🧭 Instructor: Piotr Filonowicz

He created and runs the theatre workshops of the Academy of Arts and Culture. He is a graduate of the Theater Academy, the founder of the groups: Night Line and Fabryka Destrukcja. Leader of the Theater Workshops of the Academy of Art and Culture, where he has been working for 20 years. Organizes ethnomusicological trips. He conducts voice opening classes. He created a voice spinning mill. He is a co-creator of free improvisation. He has taken part in numerous theater workshops (e.g. under the supervision of Eugenio Barba, Thomas Richards).

Piotr Filonowicz is also the author of scripts realized in the theater. He published essays on Rilke, Proust, Schulz, Wyspiański.
