"1988 rok w Rumunii. Na peryferiach Bukaresztu poznają się Norica – młoda służąca oraz Mitou – świniopas. Ich przygoda mogłaby szybko przemienić się w trwałą relację małżeńską, gdyby nie dwie rysy na obrazie: Norica musi poślubić swojego podstarzałego szefa, zaś Mitou ma spędzić dwa lata w wojsku. Skrajne emocje składają się na obraz tej nietypowej pary, którego dopełnia zarysowany w dziele kontekst polityczno-społeczny. Lucian Pinitile łączy ze światem kolei swoje dwa ulubione motywy: destrukcji oraz ucieczki. Daleko od cichych szlaków zielonej wsi, tory podmiejskie stają się symbolem dezercji, którą młody bohater gotów jest zaryzykować w imię uczuć. Pociąg to z kolei znak iluzorycznej wolności, synonim ucieczki o tragicznej wymowie."

"Roumanie, 1998. À la périphérie de Bucarest, Norica, jeune serveuse, et Mitou, éleveur de porcs, se rencontrent et se provoquent. Leur aventure pourrait vite prendre la consistance d’une relation maritale. Mais il existe deux ombres au tableau: Norica doit épouser son vieux patron, et Mitou doit partir deux ans à l’armée. Coups de poing et caresses composent le portrait de ce couple atypique mais aussi du contexte sociale et politique qui les enveloppe. Lucian Pinitile relie à l’univers ferroviaire deux de ses thèmes favoris: la destruction et la fuite. Loin de trajets paisibles dans une campagne verdoyante, les rails de banlieue sont ici le théâtre d’une cavale, celle d’un jeune homme prêt à tout perdre au nom de ses sentiments. Le train devient le signe d’une liberté illusoire, d’une échappée aux accents tragiques."

"Romania, 1998. On the outskirts of Bucharest, Norica, young waitress and Mitou, swineherd, meet and provoke. Their adventure could take rapidly the consistency of a marital relationship. But there are two downsides: Norica must marry her old boss, and Mitou must leave for two years in the army. Punches and caresses compose the portrait of this unusual couple but also the social and political context that surrounds them. Lucian Pinitile links to the railway world two of his favorite themes: the destruction and escape. Far away from the peaceful green countryside’s tracks, suburban railway is here the scene of a runaway of a young man ready to lose everything in the name of his feelings. The train becomes the sign of illusory freedom, a breakaway with tragic overtones."
